Ganglioneuromas (GNs) are well-differentiated, slow-growing, benign tumors that are quite rare and usually found in the posterior mediastinum and retroperitoneum. They are composed of ganglion and Schwann cells and their origin remains in dispute. GNs have been reported as intraosseous lesions, such as in temporal and orbital bones. There are rare reports of intracranial lesions, mostly in the ...
متن کاملPituitary adenoma with gangliocytoma: Report of two cases
Worldwide, cases of pituitary adenoma with gangliocytoma are rarely reported. The current study reports the cases of two 47-year-old females who presented with masses in the sellar region following a general examination and radiological imaging. The two patients underwent sellar region tumor resection via the trans-naso-sphenoid approach. The histopathological examination confirmed the diagnosi...

Extra-axial cavernous angiomas (or hemangiomas) account for 0.4-2% of all intracranial vascular malformations, and they usually occur in the middle cranial fossa, associated with the cavernous sinus. Other possible localizations (e.g. t...

Background and Importance: The coexistence of pituitary adenoma and another type of brain tumor is a very rare clinical scenario. Even though such a presentation can be an incidental event but the possible pathogenesis of coexistence of different lesions in the sella and suprasellar region has not yet been elucidated.
